History has always influenced my interests and views on literature, art, and lifestyle. So, after raising my family I found time to pursue a long time passion of mine, archaeology. I great career choice for me, and I loved it. In archaeology you wear many hats, and I found my niche as an illustrator.
When I retired from archaeology I chanced upon a link to my family history, tracing it to Scotland. I soon became thoroughly intrigued and opened a Scottish Import shop, traveling to Scotland on buying trips and using every opportunity to delve into Scotland's fascinating history ~ a subject I am always willing to talk about. To my delight, my art has now become my means. Inspired by my experiences and feelings for the places I have been, I began developing my own distinct style of structure, texture, and composition, Expanding my pen and ink skills to include watercolour has added an exciting new perspective to my work”.
